It is found throughout the country.

It grows in wet habitats in meadows, woods, marshes,
edges of lakes, ponds, streams, rivers and canals.
Yellow Iris is a striking, native. rhizomatous. perennial
herb, growing up to 1.5m.
The flowers are bright yellow, typically iris-like and up
to 10cm.
Leaves are broad and grass-like.
The seeds are flattened.
