It grows mainly in dry grassland, especially on lime
Hop Trefoil is a native, winter-annual, nitrogen-fixing, herb,
growing up to 30cm.
Flowers are pale yellow in globular flowerheads up to
15mm.
There between 20 and 30 flowers per flowerhead.
Sepals are relatively long and pointed.
Leaves are trefoils with the terminal lobe having the
longest stalk.
The fruits (pods) are covered by dead flowers.
