It is found throughout the country except for parts of the
North.

It grows in fields, gardens, hedgebanks and waste land.
Black Nightshade is a native, annual, sprawling or bushy
herb,growing up to 70cm.
Flowers are up to 1cm across.
The white petals are initially spread flat (picture 4) and
later bent back, as in picture 3.
The anthers are elongated and yellow.
Fruits are green when immature and black when ripe.
Leaves are dark green and ovoid with large rounded teeth.
Stems are both green and black.
