It is scattered round the coasts of the Southwest, the
South and the Southeast. It is also thinly scattered
inland, mainly around Greater London.

It is a neophyte which has become naturalised at the edge
of woodland and in grassland.
Turkish Iris is a clump-forming, rhizomatous herb growing
up to 1.5m.
The typically iris flowers are white with patches of yellow
on the larger petals.
Leaves are broad and deep green.
