It isfound throughout the country except for parts of East
Anglia and the far Southeast.

It grows in damp, acid soils in marshes, water meadows
and heaths and on stream and river banks.
SneezewortIt is a native, perennial herb, growing to 60cm.
Flowers are up to 18mm across with white ray-florets and
yellow disk-florets.
The centre of the flowerhead is mainly silvery grey (only a
proportion of disc florets are out at the same time).
Leaves are green, long and thin with numerous small teeth.
It has been used in salads and as a herbal medicine in
treating toothache and to clear heads by inducing
sneezing.
