It is found all round the coast and a few places inland.

Sea-milkwort grows in damp, salty habitats, e.g.,
saltmarshes, shingle, sand, dune-slacks, marine mud
and wet cracks in rock.
It is a native, perennial, herb, growing up to 30cm and
forming dense colonies.
Flowers are small (5mm), with 5 pink sepals and no petals.
The 5 stamens are attached between the sepals.
The fruit is a globose capsule.
Leaves are fleshy and up to 12mm.
