It grows near streams and canals, and in the shade of
woods, banks, and hedges.
Pale Willowherb is a native, grey, bushy, perennial herb,
growing up to 1m.
Flowers are white, up to 1cm and with slightly notched
petals.
The stigma is white and 4-lobed.
Anthers are white, turning brown.
Sepals are acute.
Capsules are up to 7cm and hairy.
Leaves are oval to lanceolate with small teeth.
The stem is fragile and glandular.
