It is scattered throughout the country, but absent from
parts of the north Midlands, the Southwest and
Southeast.

Meadow Saxifrage grows on damp, lime-rich, lightly
grazed, unimproved grasslands and banks.
It is a native, rhizomatous, bulbiferous, perennial herb
growing up to 50cm.
Flowers are up to 3cm across and have 5 white petals
marked with grey-green lines.
There are 2 styles with conspicuous white bilobed
stigmas,
There are10 stamens with yellow anthers.
Sepals are small,
Fruits are globular.
Upper leaves are sessile, kidney-shaped and lobed.
Lower leaves are more rounded.
