It is scattered throughout the country except for the North.
It is most common in the South.

It is a neophyte which has been grown in UK gardens since
the 1570s and has been an escape since the 1870s.
It grows on disturbed waste ground and in cracks in
pavements and old walls.
Love-in-a-mist is an annual herb growing up to 50cm.
The flowers are light blue, up to 5cm and with 5 or more
petal-like sepals,
It has numerous stamens, 5 carpels and styles, and
necturies.
The fruits are inflated globes.
Leaves and bracts are green and thread-like.
It may be on the increase in the wild.
