It grows on cultivated fields and waste ground.
Field pansy is a small, annual, native herb growing up
to 40cm.
Flowers are small (8-14mm) and creamy-white,
with a deep violet spur.
The sepals are longer than the petals.
Leaves are lanceolate, slender and slightly toothed.
