It is a declining arable weed, which is found in open
woodland, wet grassland and waste land.
Corn Mint is a native, rhizomatous perennial
(sometimes annual), downy, aromatic herb, growing
up to 60cm.
The lilac flowers are in whorls up the stem.
The calyx is hairy and the stamens protrude.
The styles are white and forked.
Leaves are toothed and pointed ovals.
Stems are usually hairy.
