It grows in grassland, especially on lime.
Bulbous Buttercup is a native, perennial herb, growing up
to 40cm.
The flowers are up to 3cm across, bright yellow and, when
the flowers are fully open, the sepals are turned
downwards.
The flower stalks are furrowed.
The leaves have 3 distinct triangular lobes, each
with 3 more lobes and with the upper lobe separated
from the others by a stalk.
Stems have swollen (bulbous) bases.
