It is found in grassland and woods, on waste ground and

hedge banks, and beside paths, roads and railways.

Germander Speedwell is a native, perennial, sprawling,

hairy herb growing up to 50cm.

The flowers are 8-12mm across and bright blue with

a white central spot.

The leaves are opposite, oval, toothed and sessile.

Stems have 2 opposite lines of downy hairs.

Most spread is vegetative, with stems rooting at their

nodes.
